DIZ_2000USOpen of SX

Thanks for downloading and actually reading this. I hope that these readme files will add to your racing experience and give you some informative news as well. Our site, www.MCM2Racing.com, is finally up so go visit it and add us to your favorites. It will be a challenge to get it running smooth and fine tuning the tournaments, so please bear with us. ‘the Machine’ and I, ( DIZ_No_Rebase ) are working hard to get as much interesting stuff on the site as possible but still keep it within reason. I’m currently working on finishing the DIZ Series tracks as well as reworking some of the old ones with new textures and splines. ‘ the Machine ‘ is working on tuning the site to be informative, creative, and easy to use. Keep visiting the site to find out information about our first beta tournament and register now to get your assigned www.MCM2Racing.com bike number.

I felt like my name was starting to disappear from MCM2Central so I decided to release this track that I was practicing on. Hopefully this track will show you some of what I’ve learned. Although it doesn’t contain any user created objects, the textures are far better than the generic ones that I was using before. I also have tried to reduce the amount of objects that I was using to increase the frame rate for better ZONE play. I did not have a track layout for the USOpen so I watched it on TV and did the best I could. I drew my own blueprint and copied my jumps over the top. I think it came out great! From the ‘very hard to make’ funnel start, to the textures and displacement map, I gave it everything that I had! This track should be one that you’d pick if you knew you had to get up early, but just couldn’t resist a quick race before bed. Hope you enjoy!

Now on to the track!

DIZ_2000 USOpen of SX ( a walk around the track )

Tapping the throttle wide open and dropping the clutch, your propelled into a very tight left handed corner. Careful of the outside line, there are remnants of the adjacent berm to send your bike flying. Avoiding a first turn pile-up, you hop over the 4ft. double and over the short jump shelf. Fast left hander, STEEP 5ft double, and peg it around the smooth left towards the finish. Two worn 1ft stutter bumps and a loft up, and hopefully over, the finish line table top. Charging into the double-berm at the bottom, you pick your line cautiously, setting you in line to the rythm section. A short double, jump up to the table top, and an off camber corner section. Quick right hander, and a 2ft-3ft-4ft step jump. A quick left hander ( careful of the inside mogul) and into the base of the stadium where you catch a sharp kicker bump floating you into the hairpin double-berm. Blasting out of the berm down the last stretch, you hop over two sets of worn 2ft stutter bumps and into a stretch of deep SX whoops. Leaning back and gliding over the whoops, you set up for your final berm. Another double-berm hairpin to the right and a familiar section back to finish line. Your heart is pumping as fast as your forearms and you realize…..that’s just the first lap!

Welcome to the Las Vegas MGM Grand hotel and the 2000 USOpen of SX!

P.S. Keep in mind that since I haven’t mastered user created objects yet, I couldn’t get the ‘under the bleachers’ part, realistic. You’ll have to use your imagination. I could have created a cheesy, makeshift tunnel, but I think it’s best just to leave it the way it was. Also, I would like to thank everyone at Twisted Dirt for the immense help, as well as Aus_Twisted, RMR_Crusty, Team 88, and many others to lengthy to name. You know who you are.

Oh yah….
and the 800+ people who are downloading and following the DIZ Series. I do it for you!
