This is a replica of a track that is on an island in the Gulf of Mexico. In 1996 3 local motocross riders from Mobile, Alabama loaded there dirtbikes on a boat with some camping gear and went off into the sea to an island that they had found and were building a motocross track. They had finished the track and were going for a weekend camping trip on the island and had planned on doing some riding on their new secret practice track. Well they got there and unloaded their stuff and did a little ridding before it got dark. They went to sleep that night and to their suprise when they woke up their boat was gone. They had no way of communicating with anyone and no one knew where they were being that they had kept the island a secret. Well 4 years later a few local freestyle riders where out making a home video. They came upon the island and decided to shoot some film there. When they landed on the island they were shocked to see a motocross track and a little hut buy the lake that looked like someone lived there. They went inside the hut and all over the island and found the remains of the 3 riders. So they went back home and called the police. The police report stated that 2 of the 3 had died due to bad nutrition and starvation. The 3rd had a broken back and from looking at one of the dirtbikes that was badly damaged was rumored to attempted the huge double over the lake and crashed. Well, after things settled down the local freestyle riders decided to hold a chairity race on the track and give all the money it made to the families of the lost loved ones. They left the track exactly like they found it (rutted to hell and back) in honor of the ones that had secretly made the track. And of course no one attempted the huge double and to no ones knowledge has anyone ever made the jump. So I decided to make this track for the game since it was only a one time event last summer. The big double, like in real life, is very, very hard to make but for the sake of this game I did make it possible. If you find the right line you might even overjump it like I have done several times. I hope you enjoy this track as much as I have. I spent a lot of time on the textures trying to get them to look realistic. The track itself was very easy to make but I spent a lot of time perfecting it.
